How to choose the best electric toothbrush

We’ve always been recommended to brush our teeth two to three times a day in order to keep a good dental hygiene. Often, people believe that electric toothbrush are used by people who became lazy and prefer to get the job done for them. This is not quite right! As a matter of fact, many dentists request that their patients use an electric toothbrush instead of a traditional toothbrush.
Why? Well, because it is a lot easier to remove stains and plaque that are difficult to remove by simple brushing by hand. The dentist will then advise an alternative, the electric toothbrush. However, it is important to buy the right electric toothbrush. If you one that doesn’t do the job, you might as well keep brushing your teeth with a manual toothbrush!
Indeed, since people’s interest in this new approach to dental health, thousands of models of electric toothbrushes have been released on the market. What should you look for? You should first make sure to choose an electric toothbrush with a round head and not a square head. The reason? The movement of the electric toothbrush has to be circular (not from bottom to top) for better cleaning.
When you make your choice of electric toothbrush, you should also ask yourself what you are looking for: the expensive one (probably higher quality that with last longer), or the more than affordable lower quality one? The best electric toothbrushes usually cost no more than $140 but no less than $60 on average. If you choose a less expensive electric toothbrush, chances are that the electric toothbrush may not be effective or get damaged very quickly. And remember, no matter what model of electric toothbrush or what budget you will decide to spend on it, you will also need to budget for heads, which need to be changed just as a regual manual toothbrush.
Have a good teeth cleaning!
